Meet The Founder
Angela Lombrozo
Like many parents navigating a new diagnosis, I felt overwhelmed, alone, and determined to find answers. As I learned more, I quickly realized how much more awareness, education, and understanding were needed around neurodiversity, especially for children who may experience the world a little differently.
As a mother, I wanted to create something I wished had existed for our family during that time: something comforting and safe, but also something that could help children feel represented, understood, and proud of who they are.
That idea became My Brain Buddies.
Each Brain Buddy represents a different neurodiversity and is thoughtfully created using organic materials, accompanied by stories designed to help start meaningful conversations about our differences, foster understanding and kindness, and remind children that their brains are worthy of being celebrated.
But My Brain Buddies is about more than plushies and books. It is a mission rooted in love, advocacy, education, inclusion, and safety. My hope is to help create a world where children don't feel they need to hide the parts of themselves that make them different, a world where families feel less alone and every child knows there is a place for their beautiful brain.
